OCEAN 101

This course introduces learners to the science of the ocean, exploring its physical systems, ecological significance, and global impact. Through ten modules, students will investigate topics such as ocean currents, waves, tides, marine biodiversity, and the differences between the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The course also examines the role of microscopic life in a drop of seawater and the importance of shallow sea zones and local wind systems. By the end, learners will gain a solid foundation in ocean literacy and a deeper understanding of why the ocean matters.
